Soapnuts - or, more correctly, soapnut shells - are arguably the most ecofriendly laundry solution you can get. Simply place 6-8 half shells in a muslin bag (or an old sock), tie the top, give them a bash, and fling in with the washing. Soapnut shells contain natural saponin, and will gently clean your laundry, leaving it soft and fresh, no need for fabric conditioner. Safe on colours and suitable for use on nappies.
As this product contains no bleaching agents you will need to spot treat any stains before washing.
