These shaped nappies are designed to fit right through from newborn to potty training. They are a cost effective cloth nappy solution as - in theory - you only need one set of nappies but they will be bulky on a newborn baby and may not fit late training, big toddlers right through to being totally dry day and night.

All these nappies require a waterproof wrap.

These are beautiful birth to potty nappies that are wonderful quality and really easy to use.

They have a choice of gorgeous cotton fabric outers with an absorbent core made from 82% bamboo and 18% recycled polyester. The inner layer is bamboo velour so very very soft against the skin.

The size is adjusted simply by folding the front of the nappy outwards to reveal further poppers that are used to fasten the nappy to fit any baby from around 10lb up to approximately 40lbs.

These have a drying time comparable with most cotton and cotton/bamboo mix nappies.

This popular birth to potty nappy is now available in a rainbow of colours.

Made from absorbent cotton terry, these nappies are just like the standard white/unbleached One Size, but with a splash of vibrant colour to make nappy changes a little more interesting! The nappies have white cotton terry on the inside, making stain removal simple, and the coloured fabric on the outside layer and the binding.

Made in Europe, this nappy is designed to fit babies from 7-35lbs using a popper adjustment system.

The Popolini One Size nappy is similar to the Mother-ease nappy of the same name, however it has 8 poppers across the waist instead of 6, and involves less transportation miles as it's manufactured in Europe.

This nappy is made from 100% organic cotton. Gentle binding around the legs conceals the elastic.

Supplied with a snap in organic cotton booster included in the price.

To adjust the nappy for a young baby, simply remove the booster, fold the front of the nappy outwards and down, and then use the inner poppers (where the booster was attached) for fastening.

imse vimse - organic terry nappy

This is a lovely nappy! It's 100% organic terry cotton and works as a 'one size' birth to toddler nappy.

It has no fastenings and can either be used 'fasten-free'(just fold around baby and secure using a slim fitting wrap) or can be used with a nappi nippa - although this isn't suggested by Imse Vimse we've found nippas work fine with this terry. The legs are edged with softly elasticated ribbed cotton and we manage to get a lovely snug fit very easily.

It has a fixed booster that folds out which helps to make this a relatively fast drying nappy for the level of absorbency you get. Works really well with Imse Vimse wraps or any aplix fastening wrap.

Available in unbleached terry only.

You can either buy these singly, or as a pack of 4.

imse vimse - flannelette

A great slimline nappy that is used 'fasten-free' inside a slim fitting wrap - we recommend the Imse Soft or Organic Cotton wrap, or the Mother-ease Rikki wrap or Nature Babies aplix wrap.

It's made from soft, unbleached cotton flannelette. It's 100% organic cotton and feels lovely and soft. In addition it is very quick to dry and is washable at 90 degrees. Now gently elasticated at the legs for a snugger fit.

Made by Sweden's premier nappy manufacturer, it's won awards for its environmentally friendly qualities.

This isn't the most absorbent nappy but can easily be boosted - in fact Imse Vimse make coordinating flannelette boosters that you'll find in the accessories area of the site (pretty much any booster will do the job though.)

mother-ease - one size - bamboo

The popular one size nappy from Mother-ease is now available in bamboo...

The addition of this bamboo version to the Mother-ease One Size range overcomes to some degree the problem of the One Size being a bit bulky on newborns. Bamboo absorbs the same amount weight for weight as cotton, but is noticeably slimmer, and remains soft even in hard water areas, so if you like the idea of the One Size but would prefer a slimmer fit, this may be the nappy for you.

Although bamboo nappies can be quite slow drying, we've found that the Mother-ease bamboo is not much different to the cotton in terms of drying time, which makes this a viable option even if you don't wish to tumble dry in the winter months.

As with the other One Size nappies, an extra booster or 'snap in liner' may be required for nights and will almost certainly be needed by older babies.

Construction is the same as the classic 'one size' but the nappy has an additional polyester 'stay dry' lining that wicks wet away from the babies skin.

Available in Unbleached fabric only.

There's also a specially designed 'stay dry' snap-in booster made from the same soft knit terry - it's listed separately in our accessories section.

Following manufacturers advice we recommend that no more than 8 of these nappies are washed together to prevent the 'stay dry' layer bobbling.

Designed to fit from birth to potty this is a lovely versatile nappy with great absorbency and flexibility.

The outer is soft bamboo terry that is very thirsty. The nappy forms a pocket which is lined with a layer of cotton jersey and can be stuffed with the two-layer bamboo booster that is supplied with each nappy.

The nappy has poppers on the rise to shorten/lengthen enabling a good fit from around 8lb up to around 35lb.

Cross-over tabs at the waist fastened with a double set of poppers to help avoid wing droop make this a lovely trim nappy which can be used for either day or nights with total confidence.

This is a super-soft, super-versatile nappy that makes birth-to-potty nappying super-easy!

Made from lovely long loop white cotton terry it has a soft polyester fleece inner that forms a pocket and acts as a stay-dry layer. The Softee comes with two loose boosters, each made from a layer of terry, a layer of microfibre and a layer of cotton jersey. These boosters can be used individually, together or in combination with any other booster - bamboo/hemp etc for a super-heavy wetter or overnight - to get your perfect balance of absorbency & bulk.

The boosters could also be used in their own in a snug fitting newborn wrap as a really simple nappy solution for those first couple of weeks, especially on a sub-7lb baby.

mother-ease - one size cloth nappy

This Canadian made, one size nappy is a tried and tested favourite in the cloth nappy community. It is made from incredibly soft brushed cotton terry knit. The legs and waist are gently elasticated and the elastic is covered with a soft cotton rib to ensure no pinching occurs

It adjusts with a combination of poppers to fit from 8-35lb. The elasticated legs provide a snug, leak-proof fit. You may find it slightly bulky on a newborn as although it's very cost effective to use a birth to toddler nappy there are obviously some disadvantages over using a series of sized nappies.

We find that this nappy often needs some extra boosting compared with others we use and there is a specially designed 'snap-in' booster made from the same soft knit terry - it's listed separately in our accessories section.

We like the Air Flow (Rika) wrap with this nappy.
