This is an ingenious nappy. It has a unique (patent pending) design that makes it exceptionally fast-drying for a shaped nappy. Flaps of terry fabric at the sides and back and a fold-out booster mean that this nappy becomes almost flat for drying. The flaps fold in easily and quickly and the legs and waist are gently elasticated giving it great fit and containment. It fastens with aplix so it's just as easy to use as any other shaped nappy - if you like the fit and convenience of shaped nappies but don't have a tumble drier this is the nappy for you.
Will dry overnight on a ceiling airer or drying rack.
You can save money because you need less nappies - or you have to wash less often to guarantee dry nappies in the nursery!

Cross-over aplix tabs give good adjustability. Aplix tabs fold back for washing.

This is exactly the same clever construction as the aplix version but without the aplix! Use a nappi nippa to fasten. Gives greater adjustability than aplix and great if you have an 'aplix sensitive' baby...

Swaddlebees are popper fastening pocket nappies that are designed to be especially slim fitting. They are cut narrow between the legs and are 'side-snapping' rather than fastening at the front to give a slim profile.
They are constructed with an outer layer of laminated polyester (waterproof) and an inner layer of micro-fleece forming the pocket.
Swaddlebeesmanufacturer recommended that only their inserts are used as the pocket is particularly narrow between the legs and other types of 'stuffing'- for example terry squares or prefolds may bunch and cause leaks. However, we've been trialling this nappy extensively and certainly with the large size we've had great success using bulkier stuffing. Just bear in mind that you'll lose the slimness when you stuff with a terry square. The small and medium Swaddlebees won't take a terry square but other inserts (like the Minki Super Soaker for example) will be more absorbent - but bulkier - than a Swaddlebees micro insert.

ella's house - hemp nappy - aplix
This is a personal fave! Made from hemp rather than cotton this is a lovely soft stretchy nappy that provides a great level of absorbency with minimum bulk.
Because hemp is more absorbent weight-for-weight than cotton this is not a bulky nappy and yet we find it more than adequate as a day nappy.
Hemp is also more eco-friendly than cotton, being a hardier plant that requires less chemical weedkillers to produce a good crop.
This nappy comes with either natural or various coloured overlocking around the edges (lilac, blue, orange, red...) and we can't guarantee what colours will be in stock at any time - if you have a particular aversion please telephone to see what's available and we'll do our best to help!
Although hemp is fairly slow drying compared to cotton this nappy is slim enough to compete with the slimmest cotton alternatives on our drying rack...
