Shaped nappies are essentially the inside bit of a two-part nappy system. They are made of terry, fleece or a combination of the two and fasten with velcro/aplix or poppers. They require a separate waterproof wrap to keep the wet in.
These are all 'sized' nappies which means you'll need to buy 2 or possibly 3 sizes to get frm newborn to potty trained. Although this is a more costly option than using 'birth to potty' nappies the advatages include better fitting nappies and less bulk on newborn babies.

A new design for an old classic!
The Bum Hugger now has a booster that can be pulled out of the fleece pocket inner for much quicker drying and a more versatile nappy all round.
No longer necessary to boost between the nappy and wrap, just add boosters to the pocket.
Significantly quicker to dry than the old Bum Hugger...
The bumhugger is a lovely soft stretchy nappy, made from hemp fleece rather than cotton.
Hemp is a lovely soft, absorbent fabric and is more absorbent, weight for weight, than cotton. It's also more eco-friendly as it's a hardy plant that doesn't require as much spraying with chemical weed killers and fertilisers.
The beauty of the bumhugger is its fleece inner that draws wet away from the skin and into the nappy, making this a fab night nappy!
Hemp benefits from being tumble-dried on a low setting.
