Shaped nappies are essentially the inside bit of a two-part nappy system. They are made of terry, fleece or a combination of the two and fasten with velcro/aplix or poppers. They require a separate waterproof wrap to keep the wet in.
Two part nappy systems such as those listed here are easier to boost than all in ones, and can therefore offer greater flexibility in terms of absorbency.
These are all 'sized' nappies which means you'll need to buy 2 or possibly 3 sizes to get frm newborn to potty trained. Although this is a more costly option than using 'birth to potty' nappies, the advantages include better fitting nappies and less bulk on newborn babies.

A re-design of the classic Bamboozle. This nappy is now made from super soft stretchy bamboo which is harder wearing than the traditional bamboo terry and better for hard water areas.
Available in 2 sizes but the size 2 nappy can be used from 9lb using the poppers on the front to make the nappy shorter.
The hidden absorbent core is microfibre to speed up the drying time and the additional bamboo booster that comes with each nappy is attached with poppers so can be removed for washing and to make the nappy slimmer for light wetters/smaller babies.

Innovative hybrid nappy available in two sizes, aplix fastening.
Features soft bamboo next to baby's skin, with a microfibre core for faster drying, and a breathable polyester outer shell. There is a pocket style opening at the back, enabling part of the inner fabric to pull out for faster drying.
In all baby has 2 layers of bamboo and 2 layers of microfibre for absorbency. Size 2 comes with a loose bamboo booster.
Both sizes have poppers on the front enabling you to adjust the rise, so the size one can fit from about 6lbs onwards, and the size 2 can fit from about 10lbs onwards, although this might seem a bit bulky on slimmer babies.
This nappy requires a wrap.
Air drying recommended. Do not use vinegar or bicarbonate of soda with this nappy.
