Pocket style nappies are a kind of halfway house between all-in-ones and shaped nappies. A waterproof, lined wrap style nappy that has an integral pocket which is then stuffed with absorbent material to the level required.
Great for those that don't have a tumble drier as the stuffing is removed for washing so you effectively have a flat nappy and a wrap to dry separately.
Stuffing
You can use anything absorbent to stuff a pocket nappy, it's about getting the balance between absorbency and bulk right for your circumstances. Here are some options:
Terry square - pad folded (very absorbent but bulky)
Prefold (absorbent, fairly bulky)
Shaped terry pocket nappy insert (medium absorbency, medium bulk)
Hemp pocket nappy insert (absorbent, slim)
Microfibre cloths (medium absorbency, very slim)

Brand new from Fuzzi Bunz and just like their original pocket nappy - which was so innovative when it launched 10 years ago - this is a truly new nappy.
Unlike most birth to potty nappies, that are adjusted by way of rows of popeprs to shorten/lengthen the rise, this nappy has adjustable elastic inside the leg holes. Accessible at each end and adjusted by way of a series of neat button holes, this makes for an almost infinitely adjutstable nappy.
Unlike most birth to potty nappies it is actually the fit of the leg hole that is being adjusted, not just the length of the nappy so the elastic sits more snuggly, more comfortable and - most importantly - it's less 'gapey' and therefore more reliable on a smaller baby.
The outer shell is the same soft laminated polyester as always and the inner pocket is soft, stay dry fleece.
The nappy comes with two microfibre inserts - one full size and one shorter one to make the nappy extra trim on a small baby.

The brand new re-designed Fuzzi Bunz pocket nappy is here! Now known as the 'perfect size' nappy to differentiate from the new One Size diaper.
At first glance this appears to be very similar to the original Fuzzi pocket nappy but although the differences are subtle they make for a more reliable, better fitting nappy - and that's important!
The most obvious difference is the shaping of the tabs at the front of the nappy. Re-designed to make the fit even better across the weight range the tabs now have squared off ends making the top of the nappy less likely to roll inwards and cause leaks.
The elastic is better quality making for a snugger, more comfortable fit.
The nappies are now 'precision cut' so there's less variation in sizing, within the same sized nappy.
